Although Quincy has been fortunate to not have many events with large losses of life, November 19th, 1996 will forever be remembered as one of those days. Referred to today as "The Crash of United Express Flight 5925" and "The Quincy Runway Disaster"; two airplanes, one taking off and one landing crashed at intersecting runways at Quincy Regional Airport. In this episode we talk with from former WGEM and KHQA TV reporter and anchor Matt Schmidt about his experience on the scene that tragic day.
